SCBA was founded in 2003 as a ministry of South Charlotte Baptist Church to assist Christian families in their God-given responsibility of bringing up their children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4) Since its founding, SCBA has had the opportunity to minister to hundreds of families in the South Charlotte area.  Our students graduate from SCBA ready to succeed in the “real world” because we highlight Spiritual growth, character, skills, and academics.

Spiritual Growth

Our first and foremost concern for our students and their families is that they know for sure that they will spend Eternity in Heaven with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  Our desire is that our students will love the Lord with a REAL love and that they will serve Him throughout their whole life because it is a JOY to serve the Lord!

Character

Building good character takes time and diligent effort and must be done on purpose!  As a school, we focus on one character trait for two weeks.  Dependability, courage, honesty, obedience, kindness, and joy are just a few of the character traits we instill in our students.  We believe every student should show good character, whether they are 3 years old or 17–years old!

Skills

In our ever-changing world, we see more and more the importance of teaching our students skills like problem solving, identifying the problem, troubleshooting, teamwork, attention to detail, communication, time management, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.  We use a variety of methods to shape and mold our students, so they will be ready for their future job – whatever that may be!

Academics

Rigorous academics are a tool that we use to teach the “whole child.”  We focus on brain development by constantly presenting our students with work that will challenge them to think, and we enjoy watching them succeed and feel proud of themselves when they do things they didn’t think they could do, because they actually worked hard to accomplish them!
